boy’s convocation

boy was saying that he wasn’t very excited about convocation
cos already started work for so long
true lah… but must act more excited mar!
once in a lifetime, or rather, this is what you achieved after close to 20 years of studying

anyway, i think it’s a rather boring ceremony
good to be the last person in the session cos everyone will clap really loudly for you lol~
almost fall asleep in the library while waiting for him to finish
ya, lazy to queue for extra tix

his sch is quite good
sponsored 1 free studio quality photo
and it’s printed on the spot
nice horz?

final concluding remark – i think girls look nicer wearing the convocation hat *winkz*

sat 21 jul. cloudy

woke up at 5.45am
when i slept at 2.30am
cos sent sw off previously night… past midnight flight

forgot why i joined this Malacca one day trip
probably cos just feel like going with boy
nothing really fantastic
basically it’s food shopping! pineapples tarts, egg rolls, coffee powder…

the best thing i guess would be the time we spent chatting on the road trip
most of the rest were asleep
but i just can’t get to sleep on the way back
so boy was disturbed by me
talked about silly things
i look forward to more holidays with him!

oh ya, only pictures of me and him cos the group photos are in fren’s camera

it’s goodbye… for now

20th Jul
one day that I’ve been waiting for… last day of attachment!
not that i dont enjoy working there, but well, i miss slacking at home and shopping in the afternoons!
and work is spending too much money
lunch, after-lunch shopping. tea breaks, snacks, shoes, clothes…

me and partner was still happily saying that our last day gonna be so free and zuo bo
we are totally wrong!
it was a mad-rush, trying to tie up loose ends
plus we have not finish writing our thank you cards
and our drawers and cupboards still full of paper and rubbish
want to go around take photo too
to top it all, there is a end-of-attachment debrief to attend
basically, it is a feedback plus psycho-ing session, to attract us to join them after grad

the most hilarious thing happened in the midst of the debrief
the fire alarm went off! -.-”’
fire drill was unsuccessful 2 weeks ago cos too many staff got the wind of the drill and went to the gathering point before the drill
our whole team went too, without telling us!
anyway, bo bian, have to go gather at the church opposite the office
machiam like walkathon like that!
you can see 1 thousand pple suddenly walking out of the building haha
a funny sight!

so the fire drill incident wasted more time
by the time debrief ended, it was time for lunch
the managers treated us to korean food
eh, i dont really fancy korean food
but i like that the rice is served in a stone pot and that it is very sticky

after returning to office, got a shock cos a prez and card appeared on our desk
my colleagues forever like to do this
sometimes when we come back from lunch, snacks will appear on our table haha
deeply touched by their farewell gift (btw, it is a casio watch…)

at 3pm, we finally finished our work and writing all the cards
it is really very difficult to write the cards in office!
must listen if anyone is going to walk by, or anyone appearing behind us
then we went down to ground floor to look for colleagues to take photos!

here are the people from the interview team!
the PSP lover, the one with a nice chinese name and pretty curls, the ManU fan, the very very efficient one and the one with lots of gold stars
all of them greatly disturbed by us as we have endless questions
luckily they are all nice and friendly pple!

then we went back to 14th floor to look for the other bunch of colleagues!
initially wanted to take photo maybe one-by-one or by teams
but they very cute! suggested that we take group photo… and with the entrance to office as background cos it says enforcement division!
so everyone took photo together, except partner’s best fren cos he wasn’t in office haha
really tks to them for making the attachment period more bearable, especially to motherly Jay!
she takes care of us thoroughly… from getting our stationary to setting up our computers to arranging training sessions to assigning work to us to helping us revert mistakes etc etc etc

went downstairs to find Doris
and finally she was back from meeting
she is so approachable that it makes us feel so welcome in the interview team
really one good leader that i truly admire!
hang around saying goodbyes upstairs after that
and luckily we did that! Christina was out from meeting at 5.30pm!
managed to take picture with her!
she is always joking with us, although she is the manager
really a nice lady =)

apart from the people, of course must show the environment too
the fountain (the coin thing) is something we walked past daily when we go for lunch
and the stupid lift lobby!!
partner totally hates it cos when the lift reach the 1st floor, it will *ting*
there are 6 lifts so we forever look like idiots there as we turn and turn to look for the lift that has arrived! haha

the last and best thing is… we created trouble just 1h after leaving office
the thing is, we have to sign our attendance daily, in and out
and we are always counting down the row that says ‘20 jul‘, the last signature
guess what? we forgot to sign out!! argh, can slap ourselves
so we had to call Jay and tell her about this
luckily she says she can settle it for us, if not can say goodbye to Jul’s paycheck

going to miss the people there
they are the ones who make the 10 weeks enjoyable (not so much of the work…)
hope to see them soon again!

the date with partner

ok, here goes – as promised!

we can’t get enough of each other at work. that’s why we arrange to go out after work as well! lol
and this trip proves that we are 2 gluttons

on the way, partner keep telling me that we are reaching soon. but in fact, the bus ride is 20 mins!! -.-”’ finally reach ST’s ice stall at katong! actually it’s some stall in the row of shophouses…
but partner keep mentioning how good was the mango ice that i can’t wait to try!

first up was dinner. don’t be mistaken… this was dinner for 2 pax! we order zi-cha from the nearby famous chicken rice stall and top the meal up with drinks from ST’s stall.
mine was the ice coffee – literally. the ice is the coffee itself. i suppose ST brew the coffee and set it in the fridge for it to freeze. top up with 1 big scope of vanilla ice-cream and chocolate fudge. definitely worth the $2!
partner has the ice sour plum juice. i guess it taste like sour plum? haha

next comes the mango ice!
partner ordered her favouite summer snow. the ice is no normal ice. it has a tinge of coconut taste in it as coconut juice was mixed with water before freezing. topped with ultra sweet mango pieces. a must-try dessert.
for those who dont fancy coconut like me, the kiwi-strawberry-mango combination would suit best! (sorry i forgot the name given for this…) the sweetness of the mango is nicely neutralised with the sourness of kiwi and strawberry. although i was damn full with dinner earlier on, can’t resist finishing the whole bowl of ice!

the verdict? *yummy*

what a sinful meal! haiz
time to exercise

Your Luck Quotient: 74%

You have a high luck quotient.
More often than not, you’ve felt very lucky in your life.
You may be randomly lucky, but it’s probably more than that.
Optimistic and open minded, you take advantage of all the luck that comes your way.

actually i think this test is more of looking at how you view things in life
when you are optimistic, you will be lucky!
so always look on the bright side!
