glad to announce that i’m stepping on to a new role at work
new duty again!
feeling quite excited
and amazed at myself, at how willing am i to learn new things
probably i’m feeling bored with my current duty(ies)
here’s to a month of learning and exploration
and hopefully i’ll live up to expectations

month end is as colourful
gg for a 2-day workshop conducted by one of my fave person at work
should be fun hanging out with people from elsewhere
then comes a plane ride!
will be living in luxury
and seriously, how to step out of the premises when the grounds are so promising

p/s: i thought of you girls cos’ i was flipping thru my FYP notebook just now… missing the days totally!

this tuesday i celebrated the 1-year mark
the day was uneventful though
just the feeling of “settled-ness”, which i started to get quite a lot since march

and yes, i scored!
damn happy
and young boss lost the bet – and have to cover our duties for a day =p
should be quite an interesting scene

and it kinda amazed me how flexible the bosses are
in fact, too fexible
change of working hours, negoitation of working days, cross deployment
totally stunned at my duties tmr – to cover both units when shifu is not around to absorb the overflow of work
my staff will see a blur of shadow running between the 2 units tmr
maybe i should teach the bosses a lesson by performing badly
so that they wont repeat this lousy same trick
and apparently, my agreement to the arrangement is one of the ways of spoiling the market

it’s really 1 last month here
goodbye i say, and then hello again
to a new challenge
till then
going to enjoy the last bit of peaceful moments
and the shelter built up by generous shifus and seniors

by the way, first time blogging from my brand new white dell computer!

the cycle of long working hours begin again
after 1.5 weeks of attending a planning course
ironically, it was rather satisfying
maybe i had expected it to be real boring
but had turned out much better
and also because of the great company i had =)

last week was great!
simply because i get to sleep regular hours
i was very “jing sheng”
one of the possible reasons why i’m secretly hoping for non-shift soon

BUT
a big BUT
i’m gonna be land-and-reshipped soon
due to inevitable manpower shortage
since now i’m +1h, can i be +2h or +3??

and today was an unexpectedly looooooooong day
boss “scolded” – said that he had told me to start earlier
and was shocked that i was still at office at 9pm

however, felt utterly satisfying
cos’ i’m having a good feeling about my plan
crossing my fingers since it’s has been long since i scored

just cant believe i’m feeling so tired after first day back at work
yet i still have work to do now
argh sad life

met up with mich and liz yest
(marg and simon was there too)
and as usual, we were lapping up on mich’s high spendings and lousy photographic skills
it was a great night, just like school days
miss hanging out with them so much

and the chat with liz gave me a new ‘dream’
to save enough in a few years’ time and then go back to school
TOGETHER
can already imagine how fun it will be
seriously toying with the idea
but were we be able to quit, leave whatever-career that we craved out then?

and the coming week will be a great one~
on course the whole week

lining up my evenings to meet friends already! cant wait!

a whirlwind of staff movements

realised they are always taking calculated moves
to get what they want
despicable? yes
unavoidable? yes too
i guess it’s the upper hand or the ‘invisible’ hand at work

suddenly i’m wary
and scared
and lost
i cant differentiate true intentions vs calculated moves
too naive?
or rather, i like to think that i’m less of a complicated thinker

change is the only constant, they say
but somehow, feeling is that this change is an ominous beginning for me
it has been a rather smooth sailing journey
can i keep it the same way?

i’ve a sudden urge
of gg back to school

before doing that, have to change job first

thinking of it, i’m gg to celebrate my one year anniversary
how fast one year flew by
things are starting to get mudane
as colleague puts it
had learnt almost all about the current post – time to change
so if i didnt got a transfer at the 5th month, probably i would have resigned by now

hopefully, indicators that says things will be looking up is true
am handling 2 projects right now
as boss puts it, i will be very busy from now
working on a workshop
cant imagine me training a bunch of old birds though
just wrong

anyway, overcame my procratination and blogged!
let’s see if i can keep the urge

well, it might be a blessing in disguise
it was a good time to leave after all

initially i was vexed
that i was transferred out within 6 months
after when i finally found the comfort zone there
to be on my own and not half-dragging my feet to work
and frankly speaking
i didnt adjust too well to the new environ at first
it was simply testing my patience
and too quiet for time to pass quickly
and the fact that i cant contribute much upsets me

BUT it was a good time to leave actually
my previous duties were much harder to handle nowadays
due to the fact that co. is excessively trimming on cost
a lot of stupid policies that, in our opinion, could only save a pathetic sum
bosses want result to be maintain, yet not giving the adequate support

though i still suck at my new position
not really my forte seriously
but i’m glad to go home on time
no more cabbing home at 10 or 11 due to fatigue
and not to have any outstanding work to be brought home
off days are really rest days now

the cons: there wasnt much opp to shine
unlike previously
where i have to go for daily meeting to report
at least it is there they see the effort

anyway, taking one step at a time
i might start flipping the classified someday soon, who knows?

i suddenly miss school
i miss the ba chor mee and the late nights
and the endless editing where we tried to outplay each other’s sentences

realised my job dont have much difference to school life
still chiong-ing reports at home
workload is heavy due to independence
good thing? probably so

i wish i was more carefree
and not stepping into office with a haiz
not that i dont enjoy
but when things get sucky, it’s really sucky

shopping with joy and wen was good
makes me wonder when was the last time i’ve done some serious shopping
seems like forever

madagascar 2 was great
storyline still rather strong despite being a sequeal
obviously hippo was my fave

looking forward to next year
to march-may where holiday bells ring
lousy jap yen had to appreciate so much
while visiting home is always a happy option

i wish i had more time and money to see the world
accompanied by the ones i love

i like how he had phrase it – the reality check
of searching for a house and the wedding fund
in case you are wondering, nope, no plans to get married
but still, it’s rather weird to hear all these coming out from other pple

rumours of transfer
a bit too sudden and fast
thinking wild as to whether it is a good or bad indication of performance
cant wait for transfer a month ago
and now, when it might just come true, it is just weird
